Motivation Australia (MA) is a not for profit, disability and development organisation working with local organisations in the Pacific Region, to enable people to be healthy, access assistive technology (such as wheelchairs, prosthetics, vision and hearing aids), and achieve full and equal inclusion.

UCF previously awarded a grant to Motivation Australia to improve children’s wheelchair services in Fiji in March 2018.

Women’s Justice Network

Mentoring Programme
Women’s Justice Network works with women and girls affected by the criminal justice system, through a gender specific mentoring programme, where they train volunteer women mentors from the community and match them with women who are exiting custody, or girls involved in juvenile justice, to provide a non-judgmental relationship and practical support.

The mentoring programme  encourages women and girls to make choices for a better future and has shown great results in reducing the likelihood a woman/girl will return to custody, compared to the general female prison population.

AusCam Freedom Project (Cambodia)

Girls Empowerment and Mentoring (GEM) Clubs
AusCam Freedom Project is a registered Australian charity that was founded in 2012 by Geoff and Julie Dowse, while they were living in Cambodia.

While spending their spare time with an orphanage where they formed relationships with 70 vulnerable children, they quickly discovered that these children were being exploited by the orphanage itself.

Connecting Hands (2010) is an Australian based, independent not-for-profit charity reaching out to young victims of human trafficking and slavery in Cambodia.

Sustainable employment is often the only way to remove and support women who have suffered enslavement and violence and prevent the occurrence of further exploitation & slavery.

Hopes and Dreams (South Africa)

Economic Empowerment – women’s self-help groups (South Africa)
Hopes and Dreams began their first project in 2010 and are passionate about their work to help break the cycle of poverty for those who have lived with it for years and even generations.

Hopes and Dreams is dedicated to delivering self-sustaining, poverty breaking solutions through micro enterprise and water development projects in Africa and India.

They focus on two key areas:

Wongan Community Care (WCC) is a grassroots, not-for-profit, community organisation that began over 40 years ago and was originally established as a support organisation for people with disabilities or those who are living in disadvantaged circumstances in the central Wheat belt region of WA.

They work primarily with local organisations in the Pacific Region.

Dress for Success Adelaide

Skills to Succeed Academy
Dress For Success Adelaide were the recipient of a $2000 grant in 2015 when they first opened their doors to clients. That grant was instrumental in providing job seekers with sales and POS skills which has ultimately assisted them into various field of employment.

Dress For Success Adelaide have been a resounding force for good by any measure  and they report-
In 2016/2017 Dress for Success Adelaide served 359 women taking the total of women served by our affiliate to 586. Of the 586 women equipped with employable skills 265 were successful in gaining employment – a result of 45%. We conducted 810 Career Support Program appointments, provided 2,754 pieces of clothing and accessories to the value of $34,770 to 526 clients (NB: not all clients need to access clothing for interview or employment suiting).

Hopes and Dreams

Hopes and Dreams exists solely for the direct relief of poverty and began their first project in 2010. They are passionately committed to making a difference to the lives of the poor and desperate people living in the remote and rural parts of Africa and India.
