Drug and Health Education
Life Education South Australia (LESA) is a charity that is a community-based, independent organisation at the front line of positive and preventative drug and health education.

Helping young people make informed decisions about their health and drugs is at the heart of their programmes.

Specialist educators, utilising their experience and training, work with schools to support the provision of best-practice drug education. Sessions are age specific and sequential with written and electronic resources provided to support both students and teachers in the delivery of ongoing drug education in their classroom. A visit to the mobile Life Education van facilitates the development of students’ knowledge and skills to identify risks and make informed decisions.

The Directors of UCF approved a grant of $2,300 for Term 4 of 2012 for Life Education to further their interaction with children, young people and their families in more vulnerable circumstances. The grant will allow Life Education to accept more invitations from school communities to visit and deliver potentially life-saving information and education about drug use.
