First Aid training & chicken coop materials
Peachey Place Living Skills Centre is a partnership of five agencies, Playford Primary Health, Housing SA, City of Playford, Association of the Burundian Community of SA and Lutheran Community Care. Lutheran Community Care is the lead organisation for this partnership.

Peachey Place Living Skills Centre is a collaborative, innovative project that has created a community hub for the Davoren Park Community. The motto for Peachey Place is Connect, Learn and Live Well. Their aim is to use a strengths perspective to transform the lives of at risk and vulnerable people through building life and pre-vocational skills and increasing community participation.

A grant has been provided to assist in part-funding First Aid training for 20 Peachey Place volunteers.

Part of the grant will also help purchase materials to build a chicken coop when the community garden moves to new premises early in 2014.

Peachey Place operates this garden and uses the fresh produce to educate people about sustainable resources and inexpensive, healthy cooking in programs run at the Centre.
