Destiny Restoration Home project
Destiny’s main purpose is to help under privileged people both in Australia and overseas. Destiny runs courses to help people overcome life controlling problems, empowering them to reach their potential in life.
They have been running school sponsorship programmes overseas since 2006, currently 140 children sponsored into school in two countries, India and Philippines. Destiny also run 12 Feeding sites – feeding 500-800 weekly.
Destiny also have a Building Programme – to rebuild or restore small homes that were affected in November 2013 by Typhoon Haiyan in Ormoc City, Leyte, Philippines. There are 140 homes of underprivileged families that have no other means of providing a proper home for their children.
Destiny Incorporated requested a UCF grant of $2,000 to purchase the building materials required to help complete the current building projects of 10 homes from the 140 homes that are a part of Destiny Restoration Home project.
They currently have 2 teams of builders plus volunteers that are currently working 5 days a week to restore 10 homes in 4 week period.
The UCF Board were pleased to approve this small grant of $2,000 to help provide shelter to under privileged families.
