The Surf Life Saving Randwick Offshore Rescue Boat (ORB) has been operating from its base at Malabar since 1969 for the primary purpose of being a 24/7 volunteer search and rescue service in and around the coastline between Sydney Harbour to Botany Bay. The service not only provides search and rescue, we work closely alongside the community and other organisation to provide medical assistance and safety services to aquatic and beach-goers.

Universal Charitable Funds has supported the  Surf Life Saving Randwick Offshore Rescue Boat with a grant to this grant will expand the search and rescue capabilities of the ORB through the acquisition of electronic and advanced rescue tools, conducting local information sessions for at-risk groups and providing up-skilling to internal Surf Lifesavers in relevant training packages.
