Fregon Community Outreach
A UCF grant  of $2,000 was awarded to Teen Challenge for their work in drug prevention in the APY lands.

They primarily work with the Fregon community which, despite being a transient community, is approximately 310 people. Drug prevention sessions are conducted in the Fregon School and the aim of Teen Challenge is to build relationships with the community as a whole.

Fregon is an isolated community and it takes 2 days to travel from Adelaide, the cost of taking a regular team to Fregon is high. 4WDs need to be maintained on top of petrol costs for 2 vehicles and food for a team of 4-6 people for 8 days.
